Rogan Josh is a 'real curry'. Hearty, rich and flavoursome, with a medium spiciness, it is one of our most popular. The dish originated from the Kashmir region of India, and like many Indian dishes there are many different variations. Our version uses a special blend of turmeric, paprika and coriander with other spices and of course tomato puree, to create a deliciously tasty, rich and aromatic dish.

Ingredients:  Water, Ground Spices (24%) [Paprika (6%), Coriander, Turmeric, Cumin, Spices, Fennel (1%), Black Pepper (1%)], Rapeseed Oil (19%), Salt, Maize Flour, Acids (Acetic Acid, Citric Acid), Tamarind, Garlic Powder.

Lamb Rogan Josh Recipe - Serves 2

Ingredients:

2 tbsp Vegetable Oil

1 Medium Onion, Sliced

70g Patak's Rogan Josh Curry Paste

250g Diced Lamb

200g Fresh or Canned Chopped Tomatoes

100ml Water

1 tsp Fresh Chopped Coriander Leaf (optional)

Method:

In a medium sized pan, gently fry onions in oil until golden.

Stir in Patak's Rogan Josh Curry Paste, add lamb and fry until sealed.

Add tomatoes and water, mix well and cover pan.

Simmer on a low heat for 45mins until the lamb is cooked.

Serve garnished with chopped coriander leaf (optional).

Equally delicious with chicken, beef, fish or vegetables.
