Patak's Bhuna Spice Paste 283gm
A Bhuna is a cooking style, and means gently frying spices before adding meat to the process. In restaurants it tends to result in a medium-spiced, dryish curry with tomatoes & onions.
Ingredients: Water, Ground Spices (22%) [Coriander (11%), Cumin (4%), Paprika, Turmeric, Ginger, Spices], Rapeseed Oil (15%), Concentrated Tomato Purée (6%), Salt, Maize Flour, Acids (Acetic Acid, Lactic Acid), Tamarind, Sugar.
Chicken Bhuna Recipe - Serves 2
Ingredients:
1 tbsp Vegetable Oil
1 Medium Onion, Diced
70g Patak's Bhuna Spice Paste
300g Diced Chicken Breast
200g Fresh or Canned Chopped Tomatoes
1 tsp Tomate Puree 100ml Water
1 tsp Fresh Chopped Coriander Leaf (optional)
Method:
In a medium sized pan, gently fry the onions in oil until golden.
Stir in Patak's Bhuna Curry Paste, add chicken and stir fry until sealed.
Add tomatoes, tomato puree and water, mix well and cover pan. Simmer on a low heat for 20mins.
Serve garnished with the chopped coriander leaf.
Equally delicious with beef, lamb or vegetables.
